Christ
Church is an exciting place to be!
Our growth in worship
attendance, programs and financial giving are all signs of how blessed
we are to be a part of this congregation. Our worship attendance
has grown over 47% in the last five years. Church programs have
grown in numerous ways; new Bible study opportunities, new mission
involvement opportunities, and the great new programs of Youth Arts
and the opening of the Christian Child Care Center. Financial giving
in our congregation has risen by over 78% from the previous five
year period. |

| Indeed,
we are a growing congregation. That is why Christ Church has adopted a
plan to begin raising funds for the construction of a new sanctuary, narthex
area, and storage area. With our current growth and anticipation of future
needs, we are proactive, with an eye toward the future of our church.
On February 6, 2001, the congregation approved that very look to the future
with the adoption of the theme "Faith
In Our Future - Building For Tomorrow." |

will this project provide the Christ Church congregation?
|
Preliminary
Construction plans include:
• A larger sanctuary
to accommodate for the future growth of our worship attendance
• More flexible
worship space in the sanctuary; a large multi-use facility to accommodate
both the Kids’ Club and Youth Arts programs in their drama and musical
presentations
• An altar area
that will allow a greater number of worshippers to be served Holy Communion
at one time
• One large
narthex area for members and visitors to meet and greet one another before
and after worship services
• Much needed,
additional storage space
• A new larger
chapel where the current sanctuary is located that could be utilized specifically
for weddings or funerals
• A gathering
room where the current chapel is located. |
