Music

THE CHANCEL CHOIR

The Chancel Choir is a traditional choir that sings regularly at the 10:30 a.m. worship services. Directed by Alan Biehn, the choir is open to people of all ages that enjoy singing church music. At Christmas, the Chancel Choir performs their annual Christmas Cantata. They participate in worship services from September through early June and wrap up the year with a robust Choir Sunday service of music. Chancel Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR

The Children's Choir is part of the Kid's Club program. (See Kid's Club page). They sing once a month throughout the year and rehearse as a part of the Wednesday evening Kid's Club hour.

Outreach Ministries

St. Richard’s Dinner - Four times a year, Christ Church supports this meal program by sending food for the participants and helpers to set up, serve and clean up.

Saturday Sack Lunch
- On a rotating schedule, we send volunteers to First United Methodist Church in downtown Racine to put together sack lunches to feed the hungry in that neighborhood.

Health Ministry Team - These groups are concerned with keeping in continuous contact with our shut-ins and members with health issues. If you like to visit with others, or are available to take people to the doctor or grocery shopping, or if you can help people straighten out their bills or do small home repairs, please consider joining this group.

Change-For-Change - Loose change offerings collected at all Christ Church worship services benefit numerous local, regional and international groups that need funding help for various humanitarian and faith-based programs.

To find out more about any of these groups, please contact Liz Martin through the church office, (262) 632-1607, and she will connect you with the right person.

Prayer Requests

Jesus says, "Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)

Active Responsive Christians (ARC)

ARC is the "Active Responsive Christians" group within Christ Church which is open to all retired members of the church, their friends, relatives and neighbors. It has concerns for senior church members and their families. ARC is Christ centered and reaches out to the ill with cards. ARC also collects non-perishable food at each meeting for a local food bank. It strongly supports the church's staff and its mission in the community.

The group meets twice each month at "The Golden Keys Restaurant" on Washington Avenue in Racine. The second Wednesday of the month is a breakfast gathering and the fourth Wednesday of the month is a luncheon gathering.

ARC Bible Study
Fourth Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.

See the monthly Announcer for the latest information on ARC activities.
